KITC’s Hebrew School for children ages 9-14, takes place Mondays from 4:30 – 6:15 PM. Enrolling students are asked to make a commitment to the full course of 9 months. Please be at KI, ready to learn, by 4:30 PM each week.
There are two groups —one for 9-11 year olds and one for 12-14 year olds.There will be a 15 minute break with snacks between classes. Each age group will have forty-five minutes of instruction in the following areas:
HEBREW LANGUAGE with Mehrnaz Halimimi
Conversational Hebrew, Liturgical Hebrew, Word Roots. The object is to increase the students’ understanding of prayers and provide them with very basic conversational skills and an understanding of how the Hebrew language works.
LIMMUDEI KODESH (RELIGIOUS STUDIES) with Rabbi Silberstein
Through text study, group discussion, song, and games, learn about the practices, stories, ideas and values that shape Jewish identity and Jewish values. Beyond any particular content knowledge, the goal for this class is for students to gain a comfort working with classical Jewish texts as well as an appreciation for the insights and values they contain.

Tuition is free for KITC full and associate member families, though we ask you to consider making a contribution to support children’s programming at KI.
Cost for non-members is $300/annual tuition for the first child, additional children in a family are $200/annually each.
