DAILY MISHNAH STUDY
Rabbi Garth Silberstein
Join us after shacharit (approx. 7:30am) on weekdays as we study mishnah over a light breakfast. Learning 2-3 mishnayot each day, over time we will cover a wide range of important topics in Jewish law and thought, and with God’s Help we will eventually learn the entire Mishnah together. No Hebrew knowledge required.

PRACTICAL HALACHA
Rabbi Mendy Cohen
Torah learning is not just an intellectual adventure. Ultimately, it should motivate and guide our actions to be in harmony with the Divine will. Rabbi Mendy Cohen, who recently received the special ordination authorizing adjudication in courts of Jewish law, will lead us in learning selected topics in practical halacha.

HEBREW READING CRASH COURSE

The NJOP Hebrew reading crash course is back! Learn to read Hebrew in only 6 classes! Classes will be held 2/6, 2/13, 2/20, 2/27, 3/13, 3/20). This course starts at the very beginning, teaching the Aleph Bet so you can read prayers in Hebrew and follow along in the Siddur.

The 2-year Melton program, uses a curriculum developed at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. This is not a KITC program, but all are encouraged to sign up and attend. PARSHAT HASHAVUA

Each week we will seek to uncover the meaning of the weekly Torah portion, using a close read of the text, as well as the insights from ancient, medieval and modern commentators.

LEARNER’S SHABBAT SERVICE
Enny Melman
This class is for anyone interested in getting more comfortable and familiar with the liturgy of the morning service. The service will fulfill the basic halakhic requirements of Shacharit, while providing an opportunity for explanations and discussions of the meaning of the liturgy, as well as the mechanics and choreography of services. 
10:30am on the 2nd and 4th Shabbat of each month, beginning Feb. 11

CHILDREN’S SHABBAT CLASS
2nd and 4th Saturdays, 11 am to noon

PIRKEI AVOT WITH RABBI SILBERSTEIN!
Join Rabbi Silberstein under the trees on the KI lawn at 6:30 PM Shabbat afternoon for “Ethics in Eden,” an opportunity to study Pirkei Avot, one of the most beautiful and inspiring tractates of the Mishnah. This will be followed by Seudah Shelishit at 7:30 PM.
