ONE DAY HEBREW READING REVIEW

Come to KI for a one-day Hebrew Reading review with Mehrnaz Halimi in preparation for the high holidays.

NJOP HEBREW READING CRASH COURSE
Dates: October 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th and November 6th, Time: 7:00 PM
Mehrnaz Halimi will be teaching both the review and continuation classes on these Tuesday evenings.

PREPARING FOR AWE
Rabbi Garth Silberstein
This four part series will serve as a warmup to the essential spiritual work of the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. In each class, we will explore some of the themes and of the season, while familiarizing ourselves with the liturgy in order to help us prepare for a more meaningful holiday experience.
Sunday mornings, August 19th, 26th, September 2nd and 16th at 10 AM. 

PIRKEI AVOT
Each Shabbat afternoon we will be studying Pirkei Avot at 6:00 PM.
Through Shavuot.

MISHNAH CHABURAH

Join us after shacharit (approx. 7:30am) on Mondays and Thursdays as we study mishnah. Learning 2-3 mishnayot each day, over time we will cover a wide range of important topics in Jewish law and thought, and with God’s Help we will eventually learn the entire Mishnah together. No Hebrew knowledge required.

The rich history of Jewish mysticism is presented along with understandings of many of the texts that have been so central to that tradition, speaking to the deepest mysteries of human existence and to many of life’s eternal universal questions.
