The following courses all meet at KITC.

Sunday
Talmud Tractate Brachot with Rabbi Leonard Levy
This group will be studying the sixth chapter of Tractate Brachot, which discusses the laws of the blessings over food. No prior experience of Talmud study required.
Sunday mornings after Shacharit (approx. 9:30am) beginning October 14

Iyyun Tefilah: A Deep Dive into Prayer with Rabbi Garth Silberstein
In this class, students will deepen their understanding of the history and structure of the prayer service, the meanings of various prayers, and gain practical techniques for making the most out of our prayer experience. We will study both the Jewish laws of prayer as well as mystical and spiritual commentaries on the siddur to help students become more comfortable navigating the synagogue service, and to connect to the deep spiritual power behind that service. This class is suitable for all ages and backgrounds.

Monday
Coffee and Mishnah Chabura with Rabbi Garth Silberstein
Enjoy fresh, hot coffee, cookies and a dose of Mishnah to boot. As we make our way through the Mishnah, the earliest compendium of Jewish law, compiled in the year 200 by Rabbi Judah the prince, we gain an insider’s view of Jewish law, rabbinic reasoning, and the realities of daily life in second century Israel.

NJOP HEBREW READING CRASH COURSE PART TWO with Mehrnaz Halimi
For students who have some familiarity with the Hebrew Aleph-Bet or have taken the NJOP Hebrew Reading Crash Course Part One.
Dates: October 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th and November 6th, 7:00 PM

Biblical Hebrew Grammar with Rabbi Garth Silberstein
Improve your understanding of the Torah by deepening your understanding of the mechanics of Biblical Hebrew, as distinct from modern spoken Hebrew. Suitable for students with a knowledge of the aleph-bet alone as well as proficient speakers of modern Hebrew.
Wednesday evenings from 6-7pm, beginning November 28
