As we approach the New Year, we want you to be aware that our first major adult education program in the New Year will start on Shabbat November 11-12, when we begin marking the second yahrzeit of Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks zt”l. We will be joining with Jews throughout the world in learning from the extraordinary contributions he made to Torah, the Jewish people and to the world as a whole in his lifetime. Stay tuned for further details.
In the meantime, you can get a timely taste of Rabbi Sacks’s unique deep insights into our upcoming Holy Days by reading the first three chapters of his book Ceremony & Celebration: Introduction to the Holidays https://a.co/d/hdgKIBy . (If you already have Rabbi Sacks’s holiday Machzorim, you can read the same chapters as the introductions to those holiday prayer books). Once you have tasted Rabbi Sacks’s incisive and insightful teachings, we are certain you will be hungry for much more.
